Garnier

Art Direction
Motion Design

Working with Garnier was an exciting opportunity to contribute to a globally recognized brand with innovative and creative campaigns. I had the privilege of leading two distinct projects for them, each with its own unique challenges and goals.

Year: 2023-2024

Client: Garnier Canada at Publicis Montreal

Art Direction: Maria Montiel

Graphic & Motion Design: Maria Montiel & Frank Lam

Micellar water

This campaign consisted of nine eye-catching panels, each with its own short five-second video. The challenge was to ensure that each panel could stand alone while also forming a cohesive narrative when viewed together. The visuals highlighted not only the product’s packaging but also showcased a model using Micellar Water, emphasizing its gentle and effective cleansing properties. The campaign played with the modern "swipe right" metaphor, tying into the dating app culture to communicate an instant, positive connection to the product. At the same time, the concept cleverly referenced the product’s purpose: wiping and cleaning the face in a modern, sophisticated way.

The result was a campaign that stood out in a busy transit hub, engaging commuters and reinforcing Garnier’s fresh, approachable image.

Ombrelle

This was a digital-only campaign for Garnier's sunscreen and moisturizing cream under the Ombrelle brand. I had the opportunity to art direct both the digital banners and a geo-targeted video tailored to Montreal women aged 25 to 35. The visuals and messaging were designed to resonate with the target audience, emphasizing the importance of sun protection as part of a daily skincare routine.

The concept focused on promoting daily use of the product, regardless of the weather—a key message for a city like Montreal, known for its extreme weather conditions.
